About the event
What if Minnesota had a Department of Government Efficiency? With a $70 billion state budget that provides health care for 1.5 million people, educates 850,000 children, plows 7500 miles of highways and incarcerates 8200 inmates, surely there are opportunities for improved efficiency. Inspired by the cost-cutting work of DOGE in Washington, D.C., American Experiment policy experts gave state government a thorough examination and are eager to share the results! Join us for lunch to learn about specific programs and projects the team identified as inefficient, redundant, unnecessary or downright fraudulent. Find out who is in the running for the next Golden Turkey award for silly spending. With the state budget still out of balance, now more than ever, we need a Minnesota version of DOGE!
